mission accomplished

g'day mates!

there is an easy everything internet cafe just around the corner (not easily to be missed actually, but we did at first), so updating became a lot more easier :-)

YES!! we got our car!! it's a toyota hiace from 1986. a van turned into a camper van. really good... it's white and... a van. well at least we got our transportation to all the places we wanna visit. the Kings Cross car market was more or less empty.... pretty depressing place.....so we eventually succeeded at the travellers auto barn (good quality engine and car, good service, all paperwork arranged (insurance etc.) and guaranteed help in case of problems with the car). It will be prepared for us and we can pick it up, hopefully, this saturday, if not, we have a MAJOR problem... no hotels available on new years eve and no car. so where to sleep?? anyway, we'll be fine. don't worry mums and dad :-) we have our contacts ;-)

yesterday we went to the sydney aquarium in darling harbour (we found nemo, YAY but he didn't want to have his picture taken... stupid fish!!!), took a ride with the monorail (not very interesting), went to sydney tower (very high and nice view), had some very long walks enjoying the scenery and had a lot of photo moments (pictures will follow later), and did some shopping . it was MAJOR hell (shopping that is), busy as hell, almost like HK. it was super sale on boxing day and ALL aussies went bargain hunting. it was very, very scary for jeroen (I DON'T LIKE SHOPPING, GEORGIA!! Shopping malls all over the world are alike and are very traumatising :-( You get lost easily, never find what you want and never ever find the exit)... police had to close down some shops because of overcrowding.

BTW, on Monday we went to SYDNEY HARBOUR....not Darling harbour....Georgia what have you been drinking?

on our to do list: chinese garden, sydney harbour cruise, zoo, beach, watch the fireworks on new years eve, blue mountains etc etc. getting jealous over there? :-) Unfortunately we weren't able to do the sydney harbour bridge climb due to peak season....we'll do it when we return to Sydney in March!

happy new year all, we keep you updated and will be posting some pics later.

oh bought many postcards... email me your address so we can send them to you (especially you jenny & rene, jeroen doesn't know your address, he goes to your place every monday...)

merry christmas

YAY YAY YAY

we are in sydney! i love it here! today we went to darling harbour and the botanic garden. very very beautiful here.

oh btw there are lots of canon-moments here but uplaoding pics on the net seems a bit difficult now. will sort it out later.

shit running outta time... f*ck! gotta go. catch u soon!!

hong kong

hong kong. hmmm what can i say??? do all chinese people live in HK??? geez it's damn crowded there. holy heck it's crowded everywhere!! people everywhere and anywhere...

we did some shopping in mong kwok... bought a new camera (canon ixus 850)... YAY and a new video ipod double YAY. very very cheap there... trice YAY!

in the eve we went to tsim sa tsui, f*cking hell man, soooooooooooo crowded. again, people everywhere... we were looking for the famous boardwalk with the skyline. we walked for ages and not sure if we've found it. we watched the skyline from a boardwalk, couldn't be the boardwalk??? it was so short and again millions of people there and nothing spectacularly to be seen. so actually it sucked.

also, got lost on the way home. we walked for hours, found the hotel eventually... man i was damn tired!!! Bye bye HK, never gonna see me there again.

stranded in london

hey guys,

finally on the internet... man this is expensive in the hotel so i think i won't be updating as often as i'd liked to... damn need to search for something else.

anyway bad start for the trip. the plane from AMS to LHR got delayed for more than 6 hours due to 'bad weather'. so we missed the connection to HK. have u watched the news on BBC?? well big chance we were on TV.

it was a bit foggy in london and all flights to and from london were either cancelled or delayed. we were 'lucky' that we were allowed to fly to london but of course we missed our connection to HK. so British Airways offered us a hotel in central london, not the best hotel of course, actually it was BAD. also, our luggage was nowhere to be found so we were wandering in london, in the middle of the night in our t-shirt. it was FREEZING cold man!!!

next day we arrived at the airport (wearing exactly the same clothes as yesterday... YUK, no gel in my hair... help!) and MILLIONS of people were there already. people were requested to wait outside the terminal in tents. what the heck man?! it was freeeeezing! anyway, at the end we have been rebooked so we left to HK, slightly delayed... good start, NOT!!!
