g'day mates!
there is an easy everything internet cafe just around the corner (not easily to be missed actually, but we did at first), so updating became a lot more easier :-)
YES!! we got our car!! it's a toyota hiace from 1986. a van turned into a camper van. really good... it's white and... a van. well at least we got our transportation to all the places we wanna visit. the Kings Cross car market was more or less empty.... pretty depressing place.....so we eventually succeeded at the travellers auto barn (good quality engine and car, good service, all paperwork arranged (insurance etc.) and guaranteed help in case of problems with the car). It will be prepared for us and we can pick it up, hopefully, this saturday, if not, we have a MAJOR problem... no hotels available on new years eve and no car. so where to sleep?? anyway, we'll be fine. don't worry mums and dad :-) we have our contacts ;-)
yesterday we went to the sydney aquarium in darling harbour (we found nemo, YAY but he didn't want to have his picture taken... stupid fish!!!), took a ride with the monorail (not very interesting), went to sydney tower (very high and nice view), had some very long walks enjoying the scenery and had a lot of photo moments (pictures will follow later), and did some shopping . it was MAJOR hell (shopping that is), busy as hell, almost like HK. it was super sale on boxing day and ALL aussies went bargain hunting. it was very, very scary for jeroen (I DON'T LIKE SHOPPING, GEORGIA!! Shopping malls all over the world are alike and are very traumatising :-( You get lost easily, never find what you want and never ever find the exit)... police had to close down some shops because of overcrowding.
BTW, on Monday we went to SYDNEY HARBOUR....not Darling harbour....Georgia what have you been drinking?
on our to do list: chinese garden, sydney harbour cruise, zoo, beach, watch the fireworks on new years eve, blue mountains etc etc. getting jealous over there? :-) Unfortunately we weren't able to do the sydney harbour bridge climb due to peak season....we'll do it when we return to Sydney in March!
happy new year all, we keep you updated and will be posting some pics later.
oh bought many postcards... email me your address so we can send them to you (especially you jenny & rene, jeroen doesn't know your address, he goes to your place every monday...)

Hi Georgia and Jeroen,
Thank you for the sms message, and the updates and pictures on this blogspot. So much news, even more than I can read in these busy year end closing days. Sorry, I really had a smile on my face while reading that you had to find out how to upload pictures. Do you want me to give you Atul's phone number ?
Next week I will start sending a daily column to keep you posted on the developments within ABN AMRO.
Have a good time, maybe you can sleep under the bridge if there is no room available.
Bye bye, Ferry.
